The Kalispell Household Goods Office was added as
a full service United Van Lines Agent in 1989, starting up from scratch with one
person who sold the move, packed it and sometimes even hauling it to its
destination. It then transitioned in to both a Moving and Storage location and
did freight deliveries for the Mergenthaler LTL division now MTS Freight. In
1993 it was moved to a newly built location on Highway 93 South. This office
service Western Montana from Hamilton to Libby with General Manager Mark Twichel
handling the sales personally in these areas. Mark is celebrating 20 years with
Mergenthaler and has been in Kalispell since 1994 and along with being very busy
with his duties to Mergenthaler and his wife and three kids was named Flathead
Chamber of Commerce 2008 businessman of the year.
